How did you meet each other?
We met through friends and online video games, only to discover after a year, that we liked each other. After a 5-year long-distance relationship, a college degree (Anna), a cross-country move (Adam), 4 more years of dating, 2 cats, and a house, Adam proposed during sunset at a winery on the island of Santorini.
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
Adam: The excitement and love in my bride's eyes during our first look.
Anna: After the ceremony and the whirlwind of photos, Adam and I returned to the bridal suite for for a short break before the reception. It was a gift to have some quiet time together and relish in finally being married after all the stress and uncertainty of the pandemic. Bonus: two weeks later, we confirmed that all our guests and vendors were virus-free!
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Adam: Don't get married during a pandemic. Fin.
Anna: Don't get too caught up on the details. We had to postpone our planned May date and adjust expectations. It probably won't be perfect and that's OK. What matters in the end is that you have each other.
Do ask for vendor recommendations and interview everyone. We had friends who had gotten hitched recently, and their recommendations were the foundation for our amazing vendor team. We couldn't have pivoted and moved our wedding without the support and guidance of our coordinator. Jessica was there every step of the way, and we're super thankful to have her and our team to pull off a wedding in the midst of unpredictable times.
