How did you two meet each other?
Ryan and I have a very unique story. We first met back when we were in Catholic CCD (aka catechism) class together. We had mutual friends from middle school throughout college and our paths kept crossing. When we both moved back to our hometown after our college days, we ran into each other at an outdoor Michael Franti concert in downtown Billings. That night started our deeper friendship that eventually turned romantic.
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
All our immediate family was able to attend and participate in all our wedding festivities. To us, that was the most important part of the day. Not only did Ryan and I vow forever that day, but we united two families and it was absolutely beautiful. Also the rain was magical. We had to cancel our Ireland wedding plans due to COVID, so it was as if Ireland came to us right before the ceremony.
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Go with the flow. Things will change and turn out differently than you planned, but it doesn’t matter. Once your day is here, just enjoy every minute of how it turns out. Your wedding day is special, but it’s the marriage you get to look forward to forever.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
With COVID our Ireland wedding plans and honeymoon got canceled, so we kept it close when planning our next honeymoon. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park for a long weekend. We stayed in the nicest of hotels in both Estes Park and Grand Lake, enjoying wonderful food, champagne, and chocolate at each. We explored the park for the first time together, seeing lots of wildlife. We golfed, went hot tubbing, relaxed by the lake, and listened to live music at a local pub. We made it stress-free and had no time constraints, which was perfect for us.
