How did you meet one another?
We met at a bar in downtown denver, The Ginn Mill during a Denver Cruisers night. I was going on the bike ride with people I met in my building because I had just moved from New York to Denver. We did not end up going on the bike ride, and ending up having a drink and talking all night. Fast forward to hiking dates and Ryan showing me around Denver since he lived here for a few year prior to me (moving from Kansas).
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
What was the best memory of your wedding day? We loved having all of our family and friends be able to share in the beauty of the Colorado Mountains with us, as most traveled and some have never been to Colorado before. The weather was absolutely perfect and allowed us to be outside (which was something I was nervous about). I think walking down the aisle looking up and seeing everyone we love all in one place was an amazing experience. The dancing and photo booth were a hit too! I actually loved that atlas barked right after my vows too, perfect timing! haha.
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Be as organized as you can, keep everything in email so that you have proof of information, prices etc. Spreadsheet for wedding guests with addresses as you will be using them often! You can also log gifts on the same spreadsheet making thank you cards easier! Have fun and enjoy yourself! It will be a beautiful day and memorable regardless of what happens or goes wrong (which no one else will know about).
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Paris- Hotel: Hotel Baume, Mont Saint Michel (outside of Paris)- Hotel: Aubergine Saint Pierre, Venice- Hotel: Starhotel Splendid Venice, Florence- Hotel: Continental & Rome- Hotel Adriano. We saw a lot of famous sites while in Europe such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Sistine Chapel, Notre Dame, Explored local food & wine, shopping etc. We traveled at a great time because it was off season, lines were short and the weather held out for us. We only brought our packs, making it easier to travel to so many places. We flew from Denver to NY to Paris, then Paris to Venice, then high-speed train from Venice to Florence and Florence to Rome, then flew home from Rome to NY (quick layover in Berlin) to Denver. Our honeymoon was wonderful, but far from 'relaxing'. It would be a fun trip for those who like to explore a variety of cultures and see fabulous architecture and learn about history. No travel agent, self planned.
