How did you meet each other?
We met at the local neighborhood hardware store The Big Tool Box. We were both working there at the time, Chrissy in the Garden Center, and Evan in the Rental Department. Chrissy noticed that there was a cute new guy, and instantly had to know all the details about him. She also noticed that Evan drove a Dodge Ram 1500, silly I know, but ever since Chrissy was a little girl, she had always told her childhood best friend "The guy I marry will drive a Dodge Ram." As they say, the rest is history!!
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
The entire wedding day was magical from start to finish, and it was the most amazing feeling to be surrounded by our family and friends on such a beautiful September day. One of our favorite memories of our wedding day was being able to see each other for the first time as Chrissy walked down the aisle. It was as if everything paused for a brief moment.
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Don't stress about the little things, and focus on the special moments you get to share with your family and friends! We would also highly recommend hiring a wedding coordinator. We loved knowing we could fully hand the reigns over, and that everything was being taken care of. Having a wedding coordinator allowed us to be fully present and focus on the special moments throughout the day. It truly does go by so fast!!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Scottsdale, Arizona and stayed at the Scottsdale Princess. It was a beautiful resort! We were able to relax and fully unwind after many months of planning and all of the festivities leading up to our wedding day. We also took a day trip to Sedona. The rock formations are breath taking! We went on a jeep tour through the rock formations which ended right at sunset. It truly was the most amazing views as the sun set and being surrounded by the red rock. It will be an adventure we always remember.
