How did you two meet?
We met on Bumble! We talked for about two weeks on the app before our first date at The Thirsty Lion in downtown Denver and have been inseparable ever since.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our favorite moments from the wedding day included skipping the first look and seeing each other for the first time as the bridal cottage doors opened. Other memorable highlights were our first dance, which we practiced only a few times, and our intimate last dance with a bubble exit. We’ll always cherish the heartfelt speeches from our loved ones. Above all, the best memory was celebrating our union surrounded by everyone we care about.
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding day?
You can’t please everyone, so keep in mind that it’s your day. Focus on what you want and don’t stress over minor details. Don’t hesitate to ask for help and delegate tasks—many people are ready to lend a hand if you reach out.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Matthew planned a surprise honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We stayed at Impression Moxché by Secrets. We both were looking for a relaxing honeymoon so we had a great spa day and spent a lot of the rest of the time hanging out at the many pools that they had to offer on the property. We would recommend this location to other couples if they were looking for somewhere to honeymoon as they have lots of activities and options for you if you would like to be more relaxed as well as great food options on the property.
