How did you two meet?
Scottie and Nichol met online through a dating app, although neither can remember which one. Nichol was ready to be done with dating when Scottie messaged her with a silly joke, "What do you call a zoo full of giraffe's.....GirafficPark." He had her hooked. They went bowling on their first date and they were so bad that the attendant at the bowling alley suggested lessons for them! After that they went on many more dates and adventures. Through their time together they discovered their mutual love for the outdoors, music and driving adventures in the mountains. After three and a half years, Scottie proposed on Christmas night surrounded by our families.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our best memory of our wedding day was seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle. Weddings are crazy busy so to be able to be fully in that moment and lock eyes was so special. We also LOVED getting to celebrate with our families and friends!
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding?
Some advice for future couples would be if you have family or friends willing to help, take them up on it! We had our family and friends do all the flowers and decorating and I didn't realize how much more I appreciated how beautiful and special it all was. Knowing that people that love us did it all made it all the more special!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
For our honeymoon we went to Vancouver, Canada and we LOVED it, highly recommend it!! There was so much to enjoy from the ocean to the city to the mountains. Our favorite activities were taking the ferry over to Victoria, Granville Island and Capilano Suspension Bridge is a MUST!
