How did you two meet?
We swiped right on Hinge! Our first date was at Mission Taco Soulard in Jan. 2016 when we were both living in St. Louis. We had to wait to get a table so popped next door to grab some beers at International Tap House. There we bonded over our love of IPAs, and later at dinner we shared our dreams of wanting to live in Colorado someday. The date went so well that Angie awkwardly and abruptly left Aaron standing outside of the restaurant bathroom.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle, seeing all of our friends and loved ones (all together in the same place for the first time ever), and locking eyes with each other ... it was emotional and overwhelming in the very best way.
(Aaron: "Being able to watch your future walk down to meet you and take in the beauty of the moment.")
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding day?
Don’t sweat the small stuff … too much. Some of the details you stress over during planning don't actually matter, and frankly, your guests probably won't notice anyway. At the end of the day, the fact that you're married is the most important!
Also, do your research and trust your gut when considering vendors. Partner with people that you have the best connection with. It's important you like who you're working with!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? What activities did you do while there?
Costa Rica! Claire Herzog (with Fora Travel) put together the best itinerary and Namu Travel rolled out the red carpet for us onsite. Highly recommend Costa Rica to any couples interested in a honeymoon with a mix of adventure and relaxation, and a reasonable travel time from Denver into San José. We stayed at Nayara Gardens in La Fortuna, Pacuare Lodge in Limón, and Aguas Claras in Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side. Our favorite activities included touring the Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna, rafting in and out of our second destination on the Pacuare River (including class 4 rapids!) and snorkeling in Puerto Viejo. The food was incredible everywhere we went, and we particularly enjoyed the traditional breakfasts and Costa Rican coffee.
