How did you meet each other? We met on Bumble in the fall of 2017. After some initial witty banter (Juju won Ryan’s heart with her sheer wit and humor), we had our first date on November 8th which was dinner and drinks. The connection and chemistry was instant, mutual, and the rest is history.
3) What was the best memory of your wedding day? All of it! The vows, the dance floor. Looking around the room and seeing/feeling the immense love and celebration all around us, seeing our guests have a blast together, and definitely the 15 minutes it took trying to capture a group photo after our ceremony! :)
4) What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day? Firstly, try not to take it SO seriously that you can’t have fun together. This is such a special, romantic time and nothing matters except you and your honey getting hitched because you love each other and want to spend your lives together! With that in mind, things WILL go wrong. We had a lot of hurdles but it’s important to remember that it’s you and your partner vs the problem, not you vs your partner. When you remember you’re a team, you can get through anything - even your venue telling you you can no longer get married there due to construction plans :) Mentally prepare yourself for your plans to be tested so that when it does happen, you let is melt off of you instead of it stifling your vibe.
5) Where did you go on your honeymoon? Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed. Would you recommend to other couples? If you used a travel agent and liked them please note that. We took a mini-moon right away and spent most of it in Durango Colorado where we spent time at hot springs, the beach, hiking in gorgeous scenery and eating delightful meals. We definitely liked the approach to a week long mini trip to decompress after, together. We’re going on our big honeymoon trip in a couple of months to Singapore and the Philippines and can’t wait! We recommend using Reddit and Tripadvisor for great tips, and making sure you check when wet (rainy) season is depending on the type of trip you’re taking!
