Some fun facts: “I arranged the flowers with my Mom and sister they day before the wedding. It was challenging but fun! We added pictures of our Grandpas to my bouquet to have them close to heart while they were watching over us on our special day. The Apple butter favors we homemade by my grandma, myself, and my mom.”
How did you meet?
We met in middle school and went to High school together. We remained casual friends while having crushes on each other. It wasn't until college that we figured out our crushes were mutual and started dating.
What was the best memory from your day?
Our best memory of our wedding day was when we got the chance to read our personal vows to each other before the ceremony. We love our friends and family that came to celebrate, but having that moment for just the two of us was really special, and we could make our personal vows as goofy as we wanted! Laughing together was a great way to overcome some wedding day nerves.
What is some advice you would give to other couples planning their wedding?
Advice we would give to future couples is to make sure to make the day about yourselves. Plan the things that are most important to you and that you will cherish years down the road. And hire Drake and Ashley to take your pictures! :)
Did you go on a honeymoon?
Unfortunately, our lives were so hectic around the wedding and PTO was scarce, so we decided to put off the honeymoon and take a mini moon to the mountains for the weekend. We stayed in a romantic cabin, turned off our phones, and really got to enjoy each other while unwinding from the wedding stress. We are going to Hawaii later this year and are thankful for the extra time and energy we have towards planning our real honeymoon now that the wedding is over!
