How did you meet?
We met at Crossfit TerraNova in Aurora in September of 2013, shortly after I (Caileigh) moved to CO from MA. However, I was dating someone else at the time so we remained friendly. Then in April of 2014, Ben overheard me telling one of our friends at the gym that I was single again. Next thing we know he was starting up a conversation, we got to texting that night, hanging out two days later....and he's been stuck with me ever since!
What was the best memory from your wedding day?
Ben- Seeing his twin sister in a dress with makeup and hair all done, since this is very rare! He really enjoyed sitting back and watching all of our friends and family really enjoying themselves and having a great time.
Caileigh- Do I have to pick just one? I would do my wedding over and over again! But if you're twisting my arm....first look with my dad, Ben's face as the doors of the cottage opened, and dancing the night seat surrounded by so many friends!
What is some advice you have for other couples?
Caileigh- As much as you can plan ahead of time down to the minute, it won't go exactly to plan. But in a good way as you will be soaking it all in and enjoying every moment of the day, that everything will happen regardless! Also, trust in your vision - I had a hard time envisioning all my parts together on my mind but I knew what I wanted to see that day. I saw it all the day of and it was everything I pictured and then some. Lastly, as everyone says, don't feel guilty about asking for help. Those that offer to do things are truly willing - just don't go bridezilla on them ;)
Ben- Don't sweat the little stuff while planning or the day of, no one else knows if something went wrong. And grooms, just say yes!
Did you go on a honeymoon?
We actually did not go on a honeymoon after the wedding. Alaska has always been on both of our bucketlists, that we decided we wanted to go on an Alaska cruise for our honeymoon. Since our wedding was in October, we have to wait until May-Sept of 2019, so we are currently in the process of planning it now. I am grateful to have that extra time to plan and something else to look forward to to continue to newlywed celebration!
