How did you meet each other?
In Spanish class at UC San Diego
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
Our vows, the Mariachi recessional, the wedding party dancing La Marcha de los Novios, and when the DJ played Uptown Funk
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Have your wonderful friends lend you jewelry, assemble favors, facilitate the day, strike the venue, drive you, and organize the after party. Get your best friends to build the arch and brew the beer. Enjoy all the love and support from your family.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We took a week and a half after the wedding to go backpacking in Aspen-Snowmass and then to Cancún, Mexico, but our ultimate plan is to go to Patagonia in Argentina and/or Ausangate in Peru next September. We had never gone on a backpacking trip this long without additional friends, so it was a nice relationship test that proved (again) that we are a great team. The Cancún resort was a beautiful place to relax after backpacking (and getting married).
