Denver Union Station Engagement Proposal | Jackie and Brian's Proposal
On Saturday March 12th (St. Patrick's Day Celebration Day in Denver) Brian surprised his girlfriend Jackie with one of their traditional monthly "day date's " together. They started the morning by getting coffee downtown Denver and then taking a walk through the new Union Station. On their way through making their way to the Millenium bridge and Confluence Park Brian got down on one knee and asked Jackie for her hand in marriage. After sharing some tears, laughs and hugs together they continued their walk through downtown and on their way to the second part of their date to Avanti. It was here at Avanti where the full extent of Brian's planning came to fruition. Waiting at Avanti to surprise Jackie was her entire family as well as her girlfriends who flew in from Guadalajara, Mexico and Chicago, IL respectively. Needless to say Jackie was definitely surprised and the smile never left her face the rest of the afternoon. It truly was a special day and I was honored to be able to watch it unfold and capture it for them. Congratulations Jackie and Brian!

How did you two meet? We met in a government class our senior year of high school where we sat right behind each other and then continued on to CSU together. What were you favorite memories from you wedding day? We both thought one of the best memories of our wedding day was as we walked down the aisle and were able to celebrate with everyone in attendance. It was when a lot of the stress and nervousness of the formal ceremony was over and we were both able to take a deep breath and enjoy our first few moments together as a married couple. What advice would you give to future wedding couples? Some advice I would give to a couple planning their wedding is to focus on one task at a time. The planning gets too overwhelming if you are constantly focusing on every aspect. It helped to prioritize what needed to happen and in which order and then focus on that one item at a time. Also, it helped to focus on only two to three vendors for each part of the wedding. It became too much to try to meet or look into several florists or Dj’s etc. Where did you go on your honeymoon? We went to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We booked through Costco travel and stayed at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana. It was an adult only all-inclusive resort and was a very nice place. We mostly hung out and relaxed at our resort for the week after the stress of the wedding and having basically not seen each other for three months. The one activity we loved was snorkeling with sting rays and nurse sharks. It was a lot of fun and we would definitely recommend the resort to a couple for their honeymoon!
