I first met Amy back in 6th grade when my family moved us out to the Stoney Point development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I remember spending many of nights running around the streets to all hours of the night and hanging out with group friends in the cafeteria and hallways of Taft Middle School. A lot has changed since then and everyone is all grown up, but its always great to catch up with old friends. Amy and Matt have always had a love for the outdoors and a strong affinity for Colorado. Matt proposed last year up in, the planning begun for an Estes Park wedding week. I just knew I had to be a part of it all! They got married at the lovely Black Canyon Inn and afterwords rented a shuttle to take us into Rocky Mountain National Park for some family fun and photographs. We went all the way to the summit of Trail Ridge Road to find some snow and had ourselves a bit snowball fight in the middle of June! Everyone had a blast and we could not be happier that we were able to be a part of the celebration. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bergstrom!
You may remember Erika from her wonderful snowy some stunning photos of her in a more relaxed setting. She was absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress and it every ounce of patience I had in me not to post these last week. Their wedding was no different and could not have been any more perfect. This is a quick sneak peek of Katie as she began her wedding day celebrating with her best friends and bridesmaids at the Salon and Cielo's Bridal Suite. There will be a full post showcasing their beautiful wedding day on a later date, but I couldn't wait to share how absolutely radient Katie looked on her wedding day. Congratulations you two. Megan and Monty King literally shared their vows with one another on a blue sky spring afternoon in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Following their ceremony at. After a few more photo ops, the newlyweds were reintroduced to their wedding guests at The Lincoln Center for an afternoon breakfast buffet complete with a french toast and syrup fountain and warm cinnamon rolls as their wedding cake. The evening was capped off with a bubble send off as they drove away honking the horn of a bright red 1958 Chevy with tin cans dangling behind. What a fantastic wedding day it was for Megan and Monty. We wish you the best and congratulations Mr. and Mrs. King!
{Ashley} Kristen and I met through work and has been a great friend of ours for about 5 years. After she listened to all my wedding plans last year and helped coordinate our big day in Alabama and even caught the bouquet at our wedding, I knew her day would be nothing short of magical.
As the wedding season kicks into full swing it will be a bit harder to showcase all the wonderful weddings in their entirety up on the blog. Hopefully you can get a great sense of what a beautiful wedding Corey and Danielle had a short couple weeks ago up at first chance to capture a wedding at this wonderful location. The staff and service were excellent and I look forward to the opportunity to do so again. I know Corey and Danielle worked hard pulling together all the details for their wedding day. From my "expert" opinion, they did a superb job. Thanks for allowing us to share in your special day.
Every so often, we get the pleasure of attending a wedding and not actually being responsible for photographing and documenting the events of the day. Ashley's cousin, Amber got married this past May 19th (Ashley and I's Anniversary) on Lay Lake in Alabama to her awesome fiance Dillon Sullivan. With so many family members in attendance that we don't see very often, we thought it was best to let a local photographer shoot the event and we kick back and party. As you can obviously tell by the following photos on this post or I guess the fact that there is a post at all, not taking photos is extremely difficult for me to do. With my camera in hand I tried so hard to sit back as any guest would do and sit during the ceremony, just watch the first dances and the cake cutting only capturing a few photos. Ashley might tell you differently, but I think I did a pretty good job of it all things considered. After seeing the lovely venue and the details that Amber and Dillon put into their wedding day a part of me was a bit sad we didn't say yes to shooting the entire event. Here are the photos I managed to capture while enjoying the wedding as a guest. Congratulations you two. We look forward to many anniversaries shared together over the years.
