How did you meet each other?

We met when I went on a “blind prom date” with one of John’s friends in high school. John’s friend randomly chose my picture out of our high school year book, found my home phone number in our school’s directory, and called me to ask if I would go to prom with him. I somewhat hesitantly said yes, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. John and I met for the first time when I walked into my date’s house to take group pictures. To my date’s displeasure, we exchanged phone numbers at the end of the night. We started dating seriously after high school. After four and a half years in a long distance relationship during college, we finally ended up living in the same city, and were engaged ten months later. 

What was the best memory of your wedding day?

My favorite memory was sitting at the front of the church and looking out at all of our family and friends. It was truly amazing to see everyone we love in one place. The fact that they were all there to support and celebrate with us made it even more amazing. I also loved the last dance of the night to The Proclaimers "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)".

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?

Enjoy it! How often do you get to try on gorgeous dresses, taste multiple delicious wedding cakes, or spend time with your friends and family at your bridal shower and bachlorette/bachelor parties? Wedding planning can be stressful at times, but there are definitely some amazing memories along the way.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed.  Would you recommend to other couples?  

We went to Aruba for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Palm Beach, and then at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort on Eagle Beach. Our favorite activities were a mountain bike tour that showed us some of the less traveled areas of the island, and renting a Jeep for a day to drive around the island (which is only 20 miles long). We also loved dinner on the beach with our feet in the water at The Flying Fishbone, and dinner in bed at The Screaming Eagle. The seafood was amazing! We would definitely recommend Aruba to couples looking for a beautiful and relaxing vacation.

Mitch and I met on a summer night when we were 16. We were introduced by a mutual soccer friend, when they came to my parents house to watch music videos. I stole his heart that night when I made him a Hot Pocket. We remained friends for the next 12 years until we became a couple.

What was the best memory of your wedding day?

There are two... I really loved driving around San Francisco in a Cable Car with our wedding party on our way to the venue. It was a ride full of tear inducing laughter with our best friends which helped calm our nerves.

We also both loved the ceremony. It was amazing to look around and see all of our family and friends in a room together to celebrate and support us. Me knees were shaking the whole time, Mitch fumbled part of his vows, but it didn't matter, we had everyone we loved in that room.

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?

Enjoy the day! It is so easy to get stressed out over small details while planning, but on the wedding day, just let it all go, and have fun with everyone. We didn't even eat our cake, that's how fast the day will fly, so just enjoy it as much as you can.

 Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed.  Would you recommend to other couples?

We went to Barcelona and then Paris for our honeymoon and it was amazing. We spend two weeks eating and drinking our way through both cities with no real agenda. Our favorite thing to do in both cities was to spend the day walking and purchasing food from markets or shops to then end up at a park for a picnic. It was a great way to do some people watching, while enjoying local food. Don't get us started on the pastries in Paris...

How did you meet each other? We met online with match.com.  I was just trying to find someone to buy my dinner...

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day? Ben- My favorite memory was being able to first see Kara.  I had to fight back tears.

Kara- My favorite memory was when we first got a moment alone after the ceremony and pictures to just be with each other.

Do you have any advice for future couples? Everyone will have a different opinion.  Just go with what feels right for you.

Where did you two go for your honeymoon? What activities did you do? For our honeymoon we spent a week in Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani Resort.  It was absolutely amazing!  We went hiking, snorkeling,sailing, laid by the beach, went swimming in a waterfall, and dined on the most amazing cuisine.  I would recommend the resort in a heartbeat, just don't take the red eye flight.

I think for both of us; it was watching our two boys, so handsome in their suits, walk down the aisle.

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?

Hire a great photographer and videographer!  You'll hear it a million times but the day does truly fly by. It was over in a blink of an eye so anyway to document everything is worth every penny. There were things I didn't get to see or missed because we were so busy so I'm glad we have Drake so I can relive all the details again. (I didn't tell Cassie to say this ;)

Where did you go on your honeymoon? 

We had grand plans of a Mexico vacation but my husband changed jobs right before our wedding so those plans are on hold for a bit. We'll get around to the honeymoon but it may be more of an first anniversary trip.

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Our advice is to have lots of lists and a very organized person as your planner, but in the end, there are so many details that something is bound to be forgotten. Enjoy the day!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Waikoloa, Hawaii on the Big Island. We stayed at the Marriott. We went to a luau, hiked a few volcanoes, hiked in the rainforests to see some waterfalls, and laid by the beach and the pool. We would definitely recommend Hawaii to other couples.

Mile High Station Denver Wedding | Mandi and Kyle Baseggio's Wedding

Mandi and Kyle are married!  You may remember this couple from their downtown Denver engagement shoot where we snapped a few photos back where it all began.  Here is there story... Kyle and Mandi both spent their Thursday nights at Cowboy Lounge in Denver on a regular basis. Kyle had his eyes on Mandi for weeks before they ever spoke. He would try to talk to her and she wouldn't give him the time of day. Kyle and his friends referred to her as short haired girl before he ever knew her name. On November 10, 2011, Mandi's friend Brittany convinced her to go introduce herself to Kyle. Kyle got Mandi's phone number that day and they began talking on a regular basis. The following Friday, November 18, Kyle took Mandion their first date to Chad's Grill in Lakewood. It wasn't long before the two of them were seeing each other 3 to 4 times a week. In December, Kyle graduated from the Colorado School of Mines and decided that it was an appropriate time to introduce Mandi to the family. Things went really well and they were both becoming more serious about each other. They spent that New Years Eve out with friends in Denver and the next day they decided that it was time they made this official. On June 6, 2014 they did just that alongside these excellent wedding Vendors

Favorite Moment on your wedding Day - The First Look!

Tips from the Bride - Stay positive and stay happy.  It can be stressful at times, but don't let it get to you.

Chicago Wedding Photography | The Murphy Auditorium Wedding Reception | Allie and Peter's Downtown Chicago Wedding

Ill start by saying, Chicago is one of our favorite cities to visit. When you get off  The L and find yourself in the "The Loop" right at the corner of State and Lake St., you cant help but feel the energy and vitality of the city surrounding you.  When Allie and Peter asked us if we would travel to photograph their wedding day a couple blocks off the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave), we were ecstatic.  Their ceremony was held at the historic St. James Cathedral on the corner of Huron and Wabash. Following the ceremony we traveled down Lake Shore drive to Lincoln Park and to the shores of Lake Michigan to capture a few shots of their stunning bridal party.  The rest of the evening was spent dancing the night away at The Murphy to the the lively sounds of The Z Orchestra led by Paul Zimmerman. What an amazing wedding day full of fun and laughter.  We wish Allie and Peter the best in their new marriage and a lifetime of happiness together. A big thanks to Stephanie Shertz and all of  the wonderful vendors who helped make this wedding day so perfect.

Denver Brown Palace Wedding | Noel and Joel's Brown Palace Wedding

Noel and Joel's wedding was our first wedding of the season and they couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous Spring day in Denver.

 Their ceremony and reception were held in downtown Denver at the stunning Brown Palace Hotel + Spa, Denver's 2nd oldest hotel. They had a  Roaring 20's themed reception that was complete with all the glamour and unpredictableness you would expect from the magnificent decade. The fedoras, long pearl necklaces and feather accents were just a few of the details they incorporated into the cocktail hour and reception.

We had a great time celebrating with this beautiful couple and we wish them much joy and many years of happiness!
