How did you meet each other?
Jesse and Christina's love story started on Craigslist of all places. Christina and her best friend Stacy were looking for a third roommate at the time, and Jesse (who told the girls he traveled Monday to Friday and would rarely be home) was chosen to move in to their spare bedroom.
Well, Jesse did in fact end up traveling a lot, but a few months, one secret handshake, and a lot of "we're not flirting" later... Jesse asked Christina to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.
Over the years, Jesse and Christina have enjoyed countless adventures together; from beach vacations and camping in the Rocky Mountains to exploring Colorado together and purchasing their first home.
In August of 2021, the day after they signed the contract to build their house, Jesse popped the question in downtown Denver and Christina happily said yes to spending the rest of their lives together.
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
Christina - Spontaneously deciding the day of the wedding that we were going to read our vows in front of everyone (even though neither of us wrote them until the day of haha) ended up being one of my favorite parts of the day. I was super stressed and anxious because I procrastinated on writing them, but once I was standing in front of everyone with Jesse all my worries went away and it was just the two of us sharing our love for eachother. From that moment on, we had the greatest, most fun day celebrating with everyone we love.
Jesse - Our first dance. Besides the choreographed dance being completely awesome, practicing it leading up to the wedding was a lot of fun! Because we had so much fun, we plan to make that a part of our date nights in the future.
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Don't procrastinate. Ask for help. Make time for date nights that don't involve wedding planning.
Guys: Make sure to help where you can. It doesn't have to be with the planning either. Things like making dinner and cleaning the dishes, help her organize her ideas (there are a lot of them, Pros and Cons were helpful), and as ideas come up, make sure you check with your other half.
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed.
We went to Cabo for our honeymoon right after the wedding and stayed at Nobu Hotel Los Cabos. We chose Cabo because we wanted somewhere that would be easy and quick to get to following the wedding. We wanted something relaxing where we could just enjoy the time together and not have to sightsee. We highly recommend this hotel although it's a bit outside of town. The food at the Nobu restaurant was amazing and we spent a lot of time relaxing around the pool. We also enjoyed a romantic cliffside dinner at Sunset Mona Lisa overlooking the arch. We're planning to take a "second honeymoon" in Greece later this year.
