How did you two meet?
We met in Austin, TX where we were both living at the time. Our first date was dinner and drinks at Jacoby’s Restaurant and Mercantile, a charming southern classic atmosphere on the Colorado River. The very next day we went to a Texas Football home game and a couple of weeks after that, took our first vacation to Colorado together. Hook ‘em!
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
For Brennon: We decided to have a “first look” moment. It took all that I had to hold it together when I saw her come down those stairs. The anticipation of knowing she would be my bride forever and excited for what our future holds, she was beautiful.
For Amanda: We were so overwhelmed with love all weekend long. I am so thankful to our family and friends who came from afar to share these memories with us. We will hold them close forever.
Do you have any advice for future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Do not sweat the small stuff on the day of because it does not matter. Everything will come together. It’s too late to make any changes at that point anyway, so go with it and be present in every moment!
Where are you going on your honeymoon?
After our farewells in Breckenridge we drove over to Winter Park, Colorado for a mini-moon. We visited the Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort and Spa and promptly booked a couple’s massage by massive roaring fires. The scenery on the grounds is idyllic with miles of snow blanketed spaces for cross country skiing and horseback riding, we highly recommend it. We are planning another trip for this summer and are currently working on our tans.
